🏆 NATIONAL SUCCESS FOR ST. COCA’S AC IN TULLAMORE 🏆

What a fantastic day for St. Coca’s AC at the National U12 Championships and Children’s Games in Tullamore.

The star of the day was undoubtedly Maya Rus, who produced a remarkable double to become National Champion in both the U12 Girls 60m and Long Jump.

Maya’s success was even more impressive as she set a new Championship Record on her way to winning the 60m title and just short of a record in the Long Jump.

The celebrations continued in the relay events, where St. Coca’s AC was proudly represented by both our girls’ and boys’ teams.

In the U12 Girls 4x100m Relay, Maya Rus, Amelia Brogan, Tara Fagan, Zoe Forde and Matilda Leyden represented St. Coca’s AC with distinction, helping the club secure an excellent 5th place in Ireland against the country’s strongest clubs.

In the U12 Boys 4x100m Relay, Garbhan Prendergast, Ted Davis, Quin Maguire, Charlie Kinsella and Harry Naughton proudly represented the club and secured a Top 10 national finish, placing 10th in Ireland.

Our younger athletes also performed brilliantly in the Children’s Games.

🔹 In the U10 Girls 60m Pairs Competition, Aoibhe Lambe and Rose Hurley finished an outstanding 4th overall, missing out on a medal by just 1/100th of a second.

🔹 In the U10 Girls Turbo Javelin Pairs Competition, the girls followed up with another excellent performance, finishing 5th overall.

A huge congratulations to all of our athletes, coaches, volunteers and parents. To come away with two national titles, a championship record, two relay teams competing on the national stage, a top-five relay finish, a top-ten relay finish and a host of outstanding performances is a tremendous achievement and reflects the hard work taking place across the club.
