Another great weekend for our club community, with St. Coca’s athletes competing across the road, track and field and representing both the club and county. 💚
On the roads, Olivia Bermingham took the win in the women’s race at the Rare to Real: The Run 10K on Saturday. A fantastic achievement.

On Friday evening at at the National Masters Championships, club high jump coach Werner Olivier took the national title in the Men’s O50 High Jump, while coach Bernard Phelan represented the club in the Men’s O55 1500m.
Saturday brought further success. Sprints coach Paul Brady took bronze in the Men’s O35 200m, while Denise Fox, who previously competed over 800m, took on the Women’s O45 400m. Emma Wallace stormed to the national title in the Women’s O50 800m. The championships finished with our mixed 4x400m relay team of Tommy Walsh, Emma Wallace, Paul Brady and Denise Fox taking silver.

It was great to see so many of the clubs coaches not only giving their time to the club, but getting out there and competing themselves too.
On Sunday, Caoimhe Farrell and Diarmuid Hickey traded club colours for the county singlet as part of the Kildare team at the AAI National Outdoor League Final.
Caoimhe ran an impressive anchor leg to help the women’s 4x100m relay team to victory, before taking third in the individual 100m. The U18 athlete was competing against a senior field, with both performances helping the Kildare women’s team to fourth place overall.
Diarmuid, the club’s throws coach, finished fourth in the men’s discus, helping the Kildare men’s team to fourth place overall.
