Training Times

Return of Adult Training on Tuesday 11th May 2021

So at last we have some good news. From May 10th adult training may resume in groups of 15 people outdoors.

As our track remains unavailable we have secured access to the North Kildare Club from 7-8 pm on Tuesday evenings from Tuesday May 11th. Training will resume that evening for all adult groups and sessions will be prepared for that evening for all abilities. We will mark out loops/route to suit all abilities. Once we are up and running we will look at what other options are available until we can back to our track.

As some of you will have noticed work has also resumed at our track beginning last week. Although the delays have been most unfortunate it is great that work is now underway again and when we have confirmation of a completion date I will update you but provisionally we expect work to take 8 – 10 weeks.

If you have not already done so we would encourage you to renew your membership of the club.

St Cocas Under 18's will be returning to training, in pods of 15, on Monday 26th April, in accordance with Government regulations. As our track development has stalled, due to lockdown, this group will be training in the North Kildare Club on Monday nights starting on Monday 26th from 6.40pm to 7.30pm. Juveniles will also train in Cappagh GAA on Wednesday nights at 7pm.

Thank you to all who have registered to date for 2021. We will be sending a link to any outstanding members from last year. Your child must be registered to return to training and we will be using the Athletics Ireland booking system that we used before Christmas. Completion of the booking form will be a condition of attending training.

The registration renewal email may have gone to your junk folder. If you do not see it please let us know in case we have incorrect email details. Also if family members are on different email addresses please let us know so we can amend.

We encourage all existing members to register as soon as possible.

Anyone interested in joining must be turning 7 this year or older. New members must contact our secretary in the first instance at and our coaches will then be in contact after that.

Track development work is currently in progress at the Bawnogues and the facility is unavailable until completion. Alternative temporary arrangements have been made as outlined below to facilitate ongoing training. All those attending training must be registered and complete the Athletics Ireland covid-19 booking information for tracing purposes.
